Terms of Investigation

During all my investigation, focusing on finding out the sense of how we perceive space with moving images within a limited environment, was key. Through the experiments, I come up with new modes for storytelling, exploring information and playing games via sharing experiences. Architectonic Cinema demonstrates ways of creating imaginary spaces into our real environments. Through manipulating cinematic images in a shape/site/sculptural specific installation, "The Next Illusion" suggests the potential ways of experiential film for the future applications. In these spatial pieces of film, motion has the role of bridging virtual spaces with physical spaces. Based on the investigation of theoretical illusion, Architectonic Cinema challenges the current immersive design to expands synthetic cinema through embodied perception and phenomenology. This principles study of designing motion into spaces opens opportunity spaces for immersive design with meaningful experiences.
