Jean-Pierre Geuens studied law at Brussels University (Belgium), film production at both IDHEC (Paris, France) and UCLA, and critical studies at USC where he earned his Ph.D. He is the author of "Film Production Theory," chapters in "The Best of Film Quarterly," "Hollywood Recent Developments," "The Oxford Handbook of Sound and Image in Digital Media," and many essays published in Film Quarterly, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Film Criticism, Spectator, and the Journal of the Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Arts.
