An inter-disciplinary writer, designer and educator, Ms. Begleiter specializes in teaching innovative visualization and writing techniques. She is the Director of Production Design and Pre-Viz in the Graduate Broadcast Cinema. Was Founding Director of the Integrated Learning Program, an interdisciplinary design curriculum, at Otis College of Art and Design and was also is one of the founding faculty members of the International FilmSchule in Cologne, Germany.

She is author of From Word to Image, Storyboarding and Filmmaking Process, a best-selling title on the subject, by Michael Wiese Publications and is available in 5 languages. Her company Filmboards produced storyboards for film and television with a client list including ABC, HBO, New Line Cinema, Tristar and Paramount New Media. Ms. Begleiter is the recipient of a 2010 Durfee Grant and is currently producing and directing a feature-length documentary on the life and times of the artist Eva Hesse.
