Although, my objective is to research
performance oriented "green cars", it
is necessary to investigate the current
crop of economy hybrid cars, as well
as concept electric cars and the sporty
Tesla Roadster electric car. I looked at
the Prius and how it is really not that
economical at all. I researched every
concept car and looked at battery
technology. I even looked at I.C.E. cars
that give high MPG. I gave a 25 minute
presentation to Norman Klein and
his History of Animation class.
The insights gathered:
-Consumers will always pay a premium
for a hybrid car as long as I.C.E. cars
are being made.
-Many battery companies are owned
by the oil companies.
-Pure electric cars have many limitations.
-The argument of carbon footprint is
questionable in the making of hybrid cars.
