a role as a media designer

A role as a media designer An important role for a media designer is being knowledgeable and using appropriate media to achieve effective communication.

This study shows how light and shadow can be used as media to communicate a narrative. In my case study, I determined that the medium of natural light and shadow was appropriate towards communicating a profound and poetic message. In contrast, this medium may not be appropriate in another context.

In the process of developing the One Day Poem Pavilion, science, art, literature, and architecture combined to create a design project.

By integrating these varying aspects, my role as a media designer was interdisciplinary. It is a design which demonstrates an experimental method of integrating a narrative into an architectural space. The pavilion is functional in that it provides shade from the sun. In addition, this project contains a story about being a designer in an interdisciplinary field.
