Walden, despite its flaws, has always been a favorite of mine, and has been influential in shaping my view on life, and on design. For this piece I edited some of my favorite sections of the book and compiled them into a booklet. Each page has a simple white box within which the content sits, laid out very classically in Minion. Surrounding the box on each page is a unique composition of hectic, static, scyscraping, pixelating, and strangely appealing complexity. At the boarder between the simple and the complex, crop marks can be found.
