Concept
The concept for the Mobo grew out of our research of tweens and from the interpretive tools that we developed.

We looked for opportunity spaces, the unfulfilled desires, or the unmet needs in their lives. From our grand strategy we created sub-strategies that would help us focus on designing something that would intersect with the themes of technology, personal agency and engagement. We wanted to create a device that was personalized, that responded to different emotional states and paid attention to the tween. We wanted to research new technologies and materials and incorporate them into the design.

We looked at ongoing projects and research, different shapes and textures and allowed ourselves to draw inspiration from both man-made and natural objects as we started to defined what our design would be and how it would look.
