Mythical Design Creatures

“Mythical Design Creatures” is a collection of sketches for the first phase of my thesis exploration. These drawings are my feelings, questions and thoughts on the intersection of form, design and technology. It places me into a poetic research on my small design universe.
The act of drawing also is a dialogue between two inner me. One person is very tech-savvy who has never stopped participating the world between tech and design culture. The other person is more artist-like designer who is original trained as a mix of visual thinker and functionalist.
The extended goal of this exploration is to receive random feedbacks and questions to see how design talents around me interpret and discuss the hidden topics in the sketches.
The idea, “Design Creatures”, represents a designer’s creations, such as poster, webpage, motion, product, or services that have a “life”, from the birth, how it is created from creative brief, inspiration, and personal voice, to the process, how it is used by audiences, to the end, how arc of experience reaches the end. These drawings are snapshots of narratives of these life forms.
