ways of using technology

Technology provides convenient life styles and interesting tools. Designers also benefit from new applications. However, technology cannot be a panacea. It is common for people to experience narrative messages in architectural space through LED screens or projectors. These experiences are provided by man-made artifacts. The One Day Poem Pavilion uses sunlight and shadow to provide a narrative experience that is organic and emotional.

Though the One Day Poem Pavilion has been constructed through the aide of machines, such as the computer and rapid prototyping tools, the focus of the design is clearly on nature as a medium. I believe that the project is a good example of integrating nature and technology with design.
