Story Behind

My project contains 4 different visual studies which work together as a set: story, photography, illustration, and animation. Each audience can experience all of these different visual studies in order to understand the process and imagine how these creatures might look like and behave.

Sensitive Skin

Today seems no different than any other day. not too long ago, the owner accepted 'him' as one of her family members. Nothing spontaneous has happened yet.
The owner begins to stroke 'his' skin. This interaction becomes one of her daily routines although 'he' has never responded to her touch, just shivers unnoticeably. The next day, the owner strokes 'his' skin again, hoping to finally see a reaction. Instead, 'he' starts to spill something out uncontrollably as the owner just stares at the unknown liquid quickly spreading across the floor in shock.
Although invisible to the human eye, 'his' small body is covered entirely with touch sensors labeled either like or hate.

Deadlock

In a quiet bedroom, a beam of feeble light trembles in the darkness. Two pairs of steady eyes are stuck staring straight into the other. Two creatures, seemingly old fashioned and no longer manufactured, are locked in unison, their only movements the jittery swaying of their bodies as they try and stand still.
They still remember the first time they saw each other. One of them left home after the owner's death and traveled all the way here to find his lost companion. As soon as their eyes met, those two creatures could not move away from each other.
The owner is no longer existing in this world, but They are still there:
staring.

Friends and Enemies

About a week ago,'he' starts to have this crazy habit of collecting pieces of papers. The owner hasn't seen 'him' moving those papers but she often finds a bunch of tiny pieces of paper, all laid in some kind of order, in a corner of her closet. She tries to stop because some of them are from the magazines she hasn't even looked yet or from the garbage can but 'he' seems to enjoy it so the owner decides to treat 'his' creation as an art piece.
'He' has his own list of friends and enemies. 'He' remembers and saves the images of people who ignored or attacked him in his memory bank. The gathered memories lead him to develop a habit of collecting faces of people in the magazines or newspapers. He carefully matches the faces of people in the magazine with his friends and enemies, cuts the faces, and lay them on his secret place to remind him everyday who are his friends and enemies.
