Robot Pet

Robotic pets are no longer just a figment of our cinematic imagination, they have become popular products throughout the world. Designers of robot pets are already fighting a never-ending battle with consumers to provide entertaining and realistic gadgets that respond to human interaction in even more nuanced ways, mimicking the behavior of real pet animals or even people.

Future robots are ready to replace human beings; they can be a friend or a companion when we need someone. Being attached and affectionate to something that's not real may seem strange but there are many domestic products out there ready to be welcomed by many consumers. In Japan many designers are trying to design "a robot which can even show emotional reactions like fear, anger, sadness, disgust, happiness and even surprise. When you say a word like 'war' to the robot he immediately shows the emotion of fear and when you say love, the robot smiles with its pink lips" (ScienceProg).
