Interface Design
- Use analog controls: We decided to move items like Audio and Climate out of the LCD display, and back into the analog (knob) format. The knobs are easier for the driver to use and change without having to take their eyes off the road. Simplifies info contained within LCD interface.

- New Energy/Efficiency Screen: Displays real-time information including current MPG, battery usage, charging system, and overall trip efficiency. Hybrid system info and overall trip info can now be seen at the same time. Simplified iconography.

- Changed labeling to be more brand-centric. “Consumption” changed to “Trip Efficiency”, button changed from “Info” to “Energy”

- Top menu: Always available. Can be customized to show information such as temperature, rating, wireless signal, etc…

Prius Web
Prius Web is a mobile in-car community network, which allows Prius owners to access entries made by other Prius owners through a wireless network.

- Prius Web is only accessible while the car is stopped.

- Community/Travel/Weather: Includes three main sections titled Community, Travel and Weather which offer user-generated entries about nearby places (based on GPS location of car) such as restaurants, hiking trails, events/ issues, green businesses, weather warnings, trip plans, gas station and hotel info. Entries can only be searched when in wireless hotspot.

-Favorites: Ability for users add several items to favorites to create Triplists which they can save and share with other Prius owners. Favorite items can also be browsed by location, date, and most recent activity.

- Post Location: Prius owners can add new locations to Prius Web through their car interface. A photograph of the location can be uploaded from their phone with the Bluetooth technology, and the name, address and description of the place can be entered with a touch-screen keyboard.

- Manage Entries: Entries can be modified by the original creator of the entry. An edit button is available on those entries.

- Travel database: In addition to user-made entries, Prius Web offers access to real-time information such as hotel vacancies and hours of operations for gas stations, to assist the Prius owner when traveling on road-trips.

- GPS: Prius Web uses the GPS system to map user-made entries and to map multiple locations such as Triplists

Driving Efficiency
- Scoring: Prius owners compete with other Prius owners for the best Average MPG rating. This encourages a long-term approach to driving efficiently, and embraces and promotes

- Improved Trip Efficiency Screen: Offers Prius owners more relevant trip feedback to help them improve their driving habits and MPG usage.
