Themes
There were a multiple themes running throughout this project. First, the name "Greater Transparency" reflects the access provided by web cams. During this relatively tumultuous time with the school's administration, there has been calls for greater transparency into the inner workings of the school. While web cams are often synonymous with surveillance, this project popularizes by providing an alternative form through which they can be viewed.
Secondly, framed correctly, this project can also be perceived as providing participants the super power to look through walls. And depending on the placement of the web cams themselves, viewers may be able to access locations in the school that they have not considered or did not know even existed.
