MEMORY VERNACULAR
Remembering Amsterdam

Cityscapes, sound waives, and the people we observe collage into our memories and create compositions that evoke emotion through form and color. The shapes that our memories create take on new meanings as our experiences widen. Remembering becomes more difficult to express through our limited verbal language. As we visualize our memories, the visceral language communicates on a subconscious level to the observer, allowing him to absorb information that cannot be expressed through words.
