Domestication

We have been controlling and taming animals, plants and all kinds of things in our domestic home. We foster different kinds of relationships in the house. These relationships might be equal or hierarchical. Have there been any changes between a few years ago and now within the domestic home? I am wondering? I am looking at my own personal experiences and others. I think so - our living pace is extremely fast. There is a lot of moving and changing locations, connecting from one domestic point to the other with all different kinds of cohabitants and things. Most of us share our house or apartment with not just pets and plants but with a lot of electronic objects (e.os) and roommates, family and loved ones. E.os themselves play such an important role in our every day lives - their status and importance is constantly growing. E.os are supposed to make our interactions and communications even faster and easier. There is a certain level of control. Are we always in control of electronic objects or are they taking over our lives? In what way do they already interfere as "cohabitants" in our regular setting of domestication? Who is domesticating and taming whom?

My projects: "I Am You Need To Be", "I Wish", "The Preferred Object User", and "Cohabitants" takes a controlled look at who is talking.
