Once we received the probes from the families. An intense time of data collecting, evaluation, transcribing, and scanning took place. Through this process we really got to know our subjects in depth. During this period we discovered things that never even crossed our minds when we were working with the pre-probes. Just like the image chain, you start at a point and it connects to things you never thought of.
One of the probes we made was the “doodle pad”. It was a like a big sketch block with one of the streaming, real-time media devices embed (showing the panda in the San Diego zoo). It provided this somehow random opportunity to doodle, sketch, and leave messages or comments.

While going through the process of documenting the data we received, one of the things that I encountered was the idea of a third object.
“It was really great watching the panda. My girls and I huddled around the device. It brought us really close together; we talked about it, laughed and shared observations.
“How are two things influenced by a third object?"
