Our final project was a translation of 'The Door' by E.B. White
Using the medium of our choice, but being as literal as possible.
After a lot of research and trying to identify the feel of the story Luke and I decided to do a stop-motion with some shadow play. Neither of us had experience with stop-motion. We scripted out our storyboard, tackled the stage, and ended up improvising by the second. I am admitting now that 'yes a few more hands would have been helpful'.
The critique was vibrant and true to the fact that this is only a first draft: text verses imagery, flow, cropping, shadow verses imagery.... also elements like "the hand" created an interesting discussion during the critique...
