midterm wrap-up - due week 08

Each team must document their information project and deliver a CD with the following material:

• A written document that includes the following (word, .txt, .html, .rtf, formats acceptable)
  • 40 word summary description of the project
  • full description of the project including
    • who worked on the project and what they did
    • concept behind the project (what were you trying to communicate, create, etc.)
    • physical and functional description
    • the media you used
    • how you used the knob from a mechanical point of view
    • how you used the knob to make the interaction work
  • analysis of the project
    • from the perspective of concept, design, and implementation
      • in what ways did the project succeed?
      • in what ways did the project not succeed?
      • how would you improve the project?
• 3 hi res photos minimum

You will present this in class week 9.

The wrap-up will be used for your grading. Note that what you learned is as important as what you made, so please take time to do a thorough analysis of the project.

You should also plan to make a similar wrap-up for the final project. For these kinds of projects, documentation is essential. They often don't exist after the presentation, and the documentation makes the projects have a life after they are completed.
