web images : 


There are two kinds of images used widely in web pages: JPEG and GIF format images.

  • GIF - Used primarily for images with text and graphics, typically images that have large areas of flat color
  • JPEG - Use primarily for photographs and other images with continuous color changes

Many applications produce web images including Photoshop, ImageReady, and Fireworks. For more information on web images and making them in Photoshop, go here:

tables : 

Tables are used for controlling the layout of your web pages. They are a grid of cells similar to a spreadsheet. For example:

some text
centered text
some other text
bkgnd color

rollovers : 

Rollovers are often used to highlight that graphics are usable as buttons that link to other web pages.
