Sarah walked into class second period. This was the class she most dreaded. Mr. Brewster continually picked on her for not paying attention. Everyone else found theater class fun and the only times they could speak their minds. Sarah just didn't want to be put on the spot, she mostly just observed. Mr. Brewster was sitting on the edge of his desk, next to him was a large shiny case with the logo Backstory on it. Sarah thought to herself, I wonder what we are going to do today. Mr. Brewster shared a story with us, he asked us to tell a story about how our parents met. We went around and some of us told our stories. She thought the cute guy Chris had the best story. Mr. Brewster then finally opened up the shiny box. We all took a peek, in the box:

A) Were 5 camcorders?
Split into groups and record and edit with only the camcorder and provide an opportunity to score and rehearse over a few days.
  B) There was a camcorder and a microphone plus and editing laptop.
If any one of us wanted to record our stories into the camera we could.
  C) Same as B but also included a sketchpad and competition form with info pamphlet for everyone. This one provides the opportunities to film or record a sketch, including if used over a few days with a little warning

Mr. Brewster said this was our opportunity to record ourselves telling a story in any way we wanted. We had the next three days with the cameras. If we wanted we could share the story we had in class or we could talk about anything we wanted. He told us to practice as many times as we wanted or just use the camera forwards and backwards to cut and edit while we were filming.

Sarah decided she did not want to use the provided avatar they had, this was where she could record over a already animated scene and character. Even though there were some really cool backgrounds and a character that looked just like her. She started drawing a bunch of pictures to record. She recorded her voice along with her own pictures.

What if everyone picked on Sarah so she did not participate?
What if the teacher put her on the spot so she absolutely hated this and would not participate?
Or what if Sarah thought this was cool but wanted some privacy?

Hopefully solved where she could read a brochure or pamphlet and leaned that she could check it out independently.

Sarah submitted her story, she was able to view it on the web. She was curious of what other people had done, and started viewing other stories. So excited she passes her news onto her best friend.
