Growling Shoe Rack

A SHOE-RACK that will growl like a dog when the shoes are not put back on it. (for busy parents that are tired of nagging their children)

The whole idea about this project is, how to teach kids, in a fun way, to put their thing back in the right place instead of just misplacing it somewhere around the house.

This shoe rack will wine once you take the shoes of the rack and leave the house, greet you when you come home, growl when you forget to put the shoes on the shelf, and be happy when you do place the shoes back on the shelf.

I decided to give the "shoe-rack" the personality of a dog for now. So I dressed it accordantly. However the question is, how much importance does the skin of this object has compared to its behavior. Is it really necessary to dress it like a dog? Would parents really put this object in their house. How about is the only indicator was a tail and the rest would be sound, is the impact the same? What about if the personality was something else but an animal? Could the object have a different personality for every single object?

In order to get all these answers the shoe-rack would have to be placed in family homes with children and actions being recorded.

Mishaps!

Sometimes things, especially during presentations don't go as smoothly as planed—the tail on the rack broke and the senor didn't work... apparently motion sensors need quite a bit to warm up.
