Project quickread is the brain child of a small team of media design students... who just happen to have an obsessive interest in the dynamic aspects of the written and spoken languages.

Pulling from backgrouds in landscape architecture, architecture, and motion graphics, the team strove to create an interactive book that could engage the user with the environment that surrounds him.

The Power of Language


Some of the most iconic writings, images and speeches of the twentieth century have demonstrated the power to unite people and have ushered in huge advances in areas of human rights and such fields as the arts and sciences.



However it must also be said that we are not dealing with a static form of communication, which suggests a strategy less reliant on fixed rules and more responsive to contextual shifts. Change is inevitable, the use of terms and phrases alone can undergo shifts in meaning regularly, responding to cultural and geographic associations, to name a few. As well, distribution of content should not be limited to a top down system, but rather offer a means for people to explore unfiltered reflections of society.
